Welcome to the first post of Asia Cleantech, a new blog focused on the clean technology (cleantech) sector in the region. The blog will cover interesting cleantech concepts and news that are relevant to the sector here in Asia.
Cleantech is a very broad asset class and encompasses a wide range of products and services “that improve operational performance, productivity, or efficiency while reducing costs, inputs, energy consumption, waste, or pollution(1).” To keep things simpler, the blog will focus primarily on:
- Renewable energy
- Energy efficiency
- Recycling
- Waste management
- Emissions reduction, pollution control
