October 18, 2007 (Reuters) – China’s ReneSola Ltd, which makes silicon wafers for solar panels, said on Thursday it had won a contract to supply 510 MW of wafers to China’s Suntech Power over a four-year period starting January, 2008.
Shares in London-listed ReneSola, which plans to produce 645 MW of silicon wafers on an annualised basis from the end of 2008, were up more than 2 percent after the news, having previously been in negative territory.
